The dealers are also converting their dealerships into green areas. LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. Gensler was the first to design a car dealership to register for a LEED rating. This rating system provides a uniform manner of measuring a building’s sustainability. Many car dealerships have followed this initiative and have gone green. There are at least 16 green dealerships in the United States.
The green car dealership follows certain architectural practices. This type of green car dealership proves that it is possible for people to go green if they just put their mind to it. R&B Auto Center, located in Fontana, CA is the first Pre Owned car Dealership to go green. R&B Auto Center has retrofitted most of the lighting fixtures with energy efficient lighting to conserve energy. Recycling bins are placed throughout the dealership for paper, plastic and aluminum. R&B Auto Center’s Service department recycles used oil, tires, and metal.

No one hates to save, yet no one likes to forgo potential profit. In other words, I am hinting that even though you may wish to save money and get the best deal at the car dealership, the dealership owners, and employees are not going to help you save if you are not prepared to do your homework. The dealerships has a price some call the floor. Furthermore, the floor price is locked to those shoppers that do their homework.
Once you are at the dealership, find the MSRP. Make sure that the dealership makes enough money at the MSRP. Never allow the salesperson to make you feel guilty for not allowing the dealership to make enough money. The MSRP accounts for dealership reasonable profit.
